Celebrating collaboration, creativity & UK engineering talent

We are delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2025 C2I Awards, a powerful reminder of the role that collaboration plays in driving engineering innovation in the UK.

From ground-breaking applications of AI, to low-carbon and autonomous mobility, and the deployment of smart data-driven approaches across manufacturing, energy and healthcare, this year’s shortlisted projects are inspiring. They reflect not just technical ingenuity, but the depth of UK engineering talent and our collective ability to tackle some of society’s most pressing challenges.

Spanning nine different categories, including energy & environment, aerospace & defence, automotive, manufacturing, data, healthcare technology and STEM outreach, the awards give a broad, inclusive picture of where engineering is heading. The full list of shortlisted entries can be viewed on The Engineer’s site. awards.theengineer.co.uk

Together with the Centre for Advanced Robotics at Queen Mary University of London, and Saffron Grange Vineyard, we are listed for our work with Integrated human-augmented robotics and intelligent sensing platform for precision viticulture.

Collaboration is no longer optional in a rapidly evolving engineering landscape. Complex systems, sustainability goals, and digital transformations require multi-disciplinary teams, cross‐sector partnerships and shared vision. That’s exactly what C2I is designed to highlight: engineering projects in which two or more organisations have joined forces to bring something new into being.

As Editor & Publisher Jon Excell notes:

“Once again, the Collaborate to Innovate awards has uncovered a remarkable crop of innovative projects and initiatives from across the world of engineering. … This year’s shortlisted finalists … provide a compelling illustration of the technologies and trends that are shaping our future and the role that UK engineers are playing at the forefront of some of the most critical technology developments of our times.”

Join us to find out the ultimate winners are at the awards ceremony in London on Thursday 26 February 2026, where the results will also be featured in The Engineer magazine. awards.theengineer.co.uk

In the meantime, this shortlist is itself a win: a celebration of collaboration, ambition and engineering excellence.
