Exciting News! 🌟 Extend Robotics is thrilled to announce our collaboration with Leyland Trucks and PACCAR Inc, global leader in cutting-edge truck manufacturing. Together, we are looking to revolutionize the industry by integrating advanced robotics and AI technologies into manufacturing processes to improve safety and productivity.
As part of the collaboration, Extend Robotics had visited Leyland Trucks' state-of-the-art facility in Preston, where an impressive average of 60 trucks are expertly assembled each day.
Extend Robotics have embarked on a collaborative feasibility study to enhance manufacturing processes, particularly in hazardous areas where robots can support human operators. The 2 days’ tests were an initial feasibility into the effectiveness of Extend Robotics’ Teleoperation and AI Training platform, demonstrating significant potential in applications such as painting and component assembly. A robotics workshop was also conducted with senior executives from Leyland and PACCAR Inc, where challenges from the industry and possible solutions were discussed.
