Unitree Robotics is a leading Chinese technology company founded in 2016, globally recognised for its cutting-edge quadruped and humanoid robotics platforms, and trusted by research institutions, industrial operators, and innovators worldwide. It specialises in the design and manufacture of high-performance legged and humanoid robots.

Unitree Robotics combines advanced motion control, perception, and AI technologies to create agile, versatile machines for both consumer and industrial applications. As pioneers in the commercial retail of quadruped robots, Unitree has rapidly expanded into the humanoid robotics market, with a clear ambition to deliver AI-powered robots capable of supporting humans across a wide range of use cases, from entertainment and demonstrations to complex, real-world physical tasks.

Most recently, Unitree robots performed as backing dancers for Chinese-American singer-songwriter Wang Leehom, during his "Best Place Tour" concert in Chengdu, China, in December 2025, performing complex, synchronized routines, including flips, alongside him and human dancers for the song "Open Fire". You can see the video here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOQP1dyASls

Through this partnership, Extend Robotics is now positioned to design, deploy, and support Unitree robots as part of integrated solutions.  This combines world-class hardware with our expertise in robotic systems integration, AI and autonomy development, teleoperation and human-in-the-loop control and deployment into operational, safety-critical, and commercial environments.

This allows us to bridge the gap between advanced robotics capability and practical, scalable deployment within industries such as manufacturing, where a real solution is needed for rapid deployment of robotics to aid in production and real-life use cases.

Extend Robotics is already working alongside several manufacturing and industry specific organisations, such as Leyland Trucks (see more here) and Saffron Grange Vineyard (see here) in collaboration with partners such as NVIDIA and the Centre for Advanced Robotics at Queen Mary University of London, with funding provided by Innovate UK and DEFRA.  Here Extend Robotics are helping with tasks such as fitting service master disconnects, which are notoriously dangerous for humans, and transforming grape harvesting.  This partnership will increase opportunities to reach more industrial applications with a wider range of solutions.

What this means for our customers

As an official system integrator, Extend Robotics can now support customers across the full lifecycle of Unitree deployments, including:

  • Solution design and integration aligned to specific operational requirements

  • Custom software, autonomy, and control layers built on top of Unitree platforms

  • Deployment, testing, and commissioning in real-world environments

  • Ongoing optimisation and support as use cases evolve

This ensures customers can move beyond demonstrations and pilots, and confidently deploy robotic systems that deliver measurable value.

The agreement reflects a shared commitment between Extend Robotics and Unitree to accelerate the commercialisation of robotics, particularly in sectors where reliability, safety, and performance are critical, enabling real-world robotics at scale.

This partnership represents a strong foundation for future collaboration, innovation, and growth. We’re excited to work closely with Unitree to bring powerful robotic capabilities into real operational settings, and to help our customers realise the full potential of robotics.
